Republican Chris Christie leading in the NJ Governor’s Race

The New Jersey Governor’s Race: Sentimetrix shows Republican Chris Christie leading Democratic Incumbent Jon Corzine

By V.S. Subrahmanian

October 14, 2009

Republican Chris Christie is maintaining a consistent lead over Democratic incumbent Jon Corzine in the 2009 New Jersey gubernatorial election. Sentimetrix’s real-time opinion tracking product tracked 45,000 blogs and news sources that mentioned these candidates. The graph shown below shows that Christie consistently received more favorable mentions in news and blog reports, beating Corzine consistently for the last two weeks. Things can always change and voters can yet remind us that bloggers and news reporters may not represent the views of the people of New Jersey. But if the election were held today, it seems safe to say that Jon Corzine might be out of the gubernatorial mansion soon.

The Star Ledger’s endorsement of Chris Daggett is great news. I wish the republicans would stop the Bush/Rove Fear mongering. There is obviously a consensus that a vote for Daggett is not a vote for Corzine, except among those who use mass psychological terror to promote their own agendas.

Facts are facts and how you ignore them I don’t know.

I say no to Chris Christie because

    The Chris Christie mafia connections
Christie’s multiple multi-million dollar bribe scandals.
Illegal campaign finance by Christie and Corzine
Voting for the lesser of two evils . It is still a vote for evil.
The Chris Christie style of justice.

I can go on and on about both Chris Christie and Jon Corzine. The skyrocketing cost of living, the Exodus of jobs, residents, business and income from the state, corrupt politicians from my local municipality, to the county court house, to Trenton all the way to Washington.

That’s why I refuse to vote Corzine or Christie. I am Voting Chris Daggett and so should you

Only voter’s have the power to change the government. We must refuse to be held captive to the broken two-party system that has brought a plaque of scandal and corruption into our government by fear of voting for a third party. Its time to send a message to politicians in NJ and all across the country. Its time to end politics as usual.

Help spread the word about Daggett

Alex, you demonstrate some pretty strong negative sentiment toward candidates you intend to not vote for, and neutral to slightly positive sentiment toward the candidate you do. Thanks for sharing your feelings for the candidates and your basis for them.

I think you’ve made a worthy case for our including Chris Daggett in future Sentiment Analysis in the New Jersey elections, so we’re going to do it. I need some time to confirm I have THE Chris Daggett and that we’re pulling from the same group of sources we do from Corzine and Christie so we have a level playing field and are, in fact comparing apples to apples. We appreciate your feedback! - Laurel Earhart
