SentiMetrix offers the SentiGrade ™ family of services for tracking opinions towards arbitrary topics expressed in the online news media, blogs, message boards, customer reviews and client-provided data. SentiGrade ™ technology can be utilized in one of two ways:

  • SentiGrade ™ Dashboard - easy to use Web-based interface that allows customers to track up to 10 topics at a time, compare changes of opinion over time by topic, country language and source. Data extracted from the Sentigrade™  dashboard can be exported to visual graphs or CSV files.
  • SentiGrade ™ Data Service - a suite of web services for customers who have their own visualization solutions and wish to augment data with  sentimenent scores .  SentiGrade™ Data Service  also allows clients to analyze their own proprietary databases.

SentiGrade ™ provides access to data collected from a variety of sources from around the world, including over 50000 news/media outlets and a million top blogs. Additional custom sources can be included upon request.

SentiGrade ™ services provide cutting edge tools with our unique combination of features:

  • Comprehensive list of information sources. We constantly expand the number of sources available to our customers, partnering with top content providers and data aggregators for specialized information sources, and will accommodate new industry content as needed by our clients.
  • Contiguous scale of measuring sentiment. Much more accurate than the “positive/neutral/negative” approach which may provide a basic overview to the volume of buzz about a particular product, our engine detects even minute changes in sentiment, providing “early warning” notification.  More important than knowing changes are occurring, our system allows clients to “dril down” into the sentiment points to determine “why” sentiment is changing.
  • Measuring the intensity of opinion the way people express it. Our software is trained on documents that are graded by human analysts, and sophisticated models were developed to maintain high accuracy of scoring and similarity between human and machine grading of textual data.
  • Proprietary, patent-pending near-real time algorithms for calculating sentiment scores. We use multiple algorithms and natural language processing to calculate sentiment scores, and as a result have developed highly accurate and efficient ways to combine the resulting scores to provide the most meaningful interpretation of consumer sentiment.
  • Proven accuracy of sentiment measurement. Our scores have been evaluated in various industry segments.  Most recently, our algorithms were validated both in academic tests and by an independent third party company on behalf of the US intelligence community.
  • Multilingual capability. Our system is fluent in multiple languages.    We can detect sentiment in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Korean and Arabic.  Additional languages may be added upon request.
  • Efficient and scalable backend architecture. Our system runs on Amazon’s EC2 cloud, which provides virtually unlimited scaling capabilities, and, at the same time, allows us to use only as much computing power as needed - and to pass the savings on to our customers.
